Two things. Enrollment: Knox Mobile Enrollment registers Galaxy devices at the point of purchase, so a batch of phones bought from a reseller enrolls itself on first boot with no QR code and no unboxing. Control: Samsung Knox management reaches the OEM layer that plain Android Enterprise leaves alone, which matters on rugged Galaxy hardware where the barcode engine, the programmable keys and the firmware update channel are Samsung-specific.
Android kiosk management uses the dedicated-device mode of Android Enterprise. The device enrolls without a personal account, boots straight into the app you chose, and the home button, notification shade, settings and task switcher are gone. You can pin one app or a short list, allow a specific browser URL, and keep the device manageable from the console while it is locked. Exiting requires an admin action, not a gesture the user can find.
